Warm Welcome Programme

In 2024, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, we launched our Warm Welcome Programme.

This 12 month integration programme, aimed at helping to ease young people’s transition to life in Ireland, improve integration and foster new friendships, is new for us at FOA but comes after three years of hard work and planning.

So, what is it?

Over the 12 months, 10 members from the refugee/ asylum community will journey with 10 of our native FOA members through a range of social activities, residential weekends, facilitated workshops and conversational English classes.

As well as this, our Warm Welcome group will be organising and hosting a celebration on World Refugee Day on the 20th June.

We believe this programme will create opportunities for culture sharing, friendship building and strengthened solidarity through mutual learning.
